BLACK LIVES MATTER
I’m sad, angry, confused, and afraid, but most importantly I am MOTIVATED to stand up and play a part in changing the way things are.
Too many BIPOC have been oppressed, neglected, abused, and murdered. We cannot stay silent any longer. Silence is acceptance and I refuse to accept it.
I don’t know the right words to say or the right things to do, but I commit to taking action steps every day to educate myself and my children. I commit to using my platform to shine a light on the darkness, and keep myself accountable. I commit to standing beside the BIPOC community as an active ally, using my privilege as a white woman to fight for what’s right.
If you’re committing to all of these things too but aren’t sure where to start, swipe through this curated list of people, books, articles, podcasts, and other resources, as well as a list of places to donate if you’re able.
