My Human Design Chart
Maybe you are brand spanking new to Human Design or maybe you’re just curious about my Human Design chart. In this post I’ll share with you the big-picture of my chart and what it means for me in my life.
I am a Manifestor
Manifestors are here to get things going based on our Divine urges (I briefly explain what this feels like in the video above). We are not here to wait for something to come into our aura and draw out a response from us. We are also not here to wait to be invited to start something. The way we impact others comes from deep within, and often without much warning. The Manifestor aura is dense and impactful. When a Manifestor enters the room, the other auras in the room contract. I’ve been told countless times in my life that I am “intimidating” but if you know me, you know that I am a tiny 5’0” girl-next-door looking girl - what could be intimidating about me?! But it’s not something others are necessarily conscious of, rather it’s an energetic presence that Manifestors carry. I believe this dense aura acts as a barrier so that Manifestors are not as easily influenced by the outside world and are therefor more available for those Divine urges I was talking about. It can make for a lonely existence, if you don’t understand how your energy works. Learning about this was a huge permission slip for me to stop trying to fit in or stop taking it personally when I’m not included. WHAT A RELIEF that has been.
I have Emotional Authority
You can think of Authority as our built-in decision-making mechanism. Some people have a gut response (sacral), some people have an instinctive knowing in their bodies (splenic), some need to hear themselves speak about it (self-projected), and about half the population (including me) need to wait out our emotional wave before deciding. For me, this has allowed me to detach from my emotions in a healthy way. I used to think that if I felt something, it must be true. Now I know that my emotions can sometimes just be an indicator of where I need to act or heal in some way. They aren’t there for me to identify with them. For example, when I get angry it means I feel angry, not that I AM angry. See the difference? This knowledge has changed how I make decisions in my business, in communication with others, and even how I use money. If I’m feeling emotionally charged about it, I wait it out until I have my “aha” moment of clarity.
I am a 1/3 profile
If your life is a movie, your profile is the role you play in the movie. There are 12 Profiles in Human Design and the 1/3 is the most foundational. The energy of the 1/3 is very raw, present, “I’m here!” energy. The 1 represents the “investigator” that wants to know all of the things. These are the people who go out and find all the answers to their questions. They don’t just “dabble” in something they’re interested in, they get a PhD in it. The investigator soaks up as much knowledge as possible because it helps them feel secure, and eventually they become an authority in whatever subject or specialty they’ve studied. The 3, or “Martyr,” is all about trial-and-error. You can tell a 3 that the stove is hot 15 times, but they need to burn their own hand to learn the truth. Ask my mom: I have always needed to learn things the hard way. I used to be frustrated with this part of myself. Why can’t I just listen to the people who love me? But no, I’m not here for that. I am here to try out everything that intrigues me and then report back about what works and what didn’t. I learn through experience, and now that I’ve fully embraced that, I’m able to impact others on a much deeper level.
My Incarnation Cross is the Right Angle Cross of Explanation
Incarnation Cross is the soul’s major theme or purpose in this lifetime. It’s the thing I can always come back to when I feel like I’ve gotten lost or need direction. I have the Cross of Explanation in gate 23 which is the gate of individual insight. In short, I am here to repeatedly communicate what I know in order to help others transform. Which is actually kind of perfect because that’s exactly what I do in my coaching and through my podcast. Through my mysterious “knowing,” as well as my emotions and experiences, I take you through my trial-and-error process and show you what works and what doesn’t so that you too can shed your layers and full live out your soul’s purpose.
My chart
A few other knowledge tidbits that have made a profound difference in my life:
I’m a non-sacral being. Manifestors, Projectors, and Reflectors all lack definition in the sacral energy center, which essentially means that we don’t have consistent and reliable access to the life-force energy that the sacral center provides. We’re easily conditioned by the Generators and Manifesting Generators around us (70% of the population!), meaning we absorb and amplify their sacral energy when we’re in their auras. This can make us feel restless and like we constantly need to be moving and doing (uh hello, I NEVER stop when I’m home with my Generator family) until we eventually burnout. Manifestor energy comes in bursts though, and learning about the mechanics of this energy has allowed me to work with and honor my own aligned energy. I’ve set boundaries for myself and have been able to distinguish my energy from the sacral energy in my space. It’s been the ultimate revelation in self-care.
I am most aligned in a relaxed environment. My environment variable (the bottom left arrow near the head of the bodygraph) is pointing to the right, which indicates that I work and live best when I’m able to sit back, relax, and observe what’s going on around me. If I’m too busy, I don’t leave room for my divine urges and I am extra vulnerable to conditioning. I grew up with a mother who is very LEFT though, as is my partner. I have been “busy” my entire life, and truly believed that’s who I was. But when I really became an observer of myself and my life, I have begun to realize just how untrue that is for me - I am conditioned! Allowing myself to be lazy was uncomfortable at first, but has ultimately been so freeing.
I thrive on routines and have the consistent will power energy to stick to them. Having been in the spiritual/wellness space for a few years now, I started to believe that maybe I was being too rigid in my routines and that I should let things flow more. Whenever I did that though, I always felt scattered and found it difficult to focus on anything, and then wondered if something was wrong with me that I couldn’t just lighten up and go with the flow. Certainly there is value in honoring how we feel in the moment! But for me personally, I do best when I eat, exercise, work, etc. at roughly the same time each day. And when I commit to something, it is healthy for me to see it through (as long as it’s correct for me). 65% of the population does not have this consistent will power energy though, and this knowledge has helped me serve my clients in a much more customized way.
Before this turns into a book, I’ll stop now. But I hope that gives you a bit of an understanding about some of the elements of Human Design and how they can be applied very practically to life. And I hope this gives you a deeper understanding of me, my mission, and how I use Human Design to serve my audience and clients.
